Meizu 6T with 18:9 Full-Screen Display, Dual Rear Cameras Launched

Meizu has today launched a new budget-centric smartphone dubbed as Meizu 6T in China. The smartphone comes with the price tag of 799 yuan ($ 124/ Rs. 8,460 approx.) for the 3GB RAM with 32GB storage variant, 999 yuan ($ 155/ Rs. 10,570 approx.) for the 4GB RAM with 32GB storage option and the top-end 4GB RAM with 64GB storage variant is priced at 1099 yuan ($ 171/ Rs. 11,630 approx.). The smartphone is now available for pre-order and goes on sale in China from June 1st. It comes in Meteorite Black, Champagne Gold, and Coral Red color options.

Talking about the specifications, the Meizu 6T runs Flyme OS 6.2 based on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. It sports a 5.7” HD+ (1440 × 720 pixels) 18:9 LCD display with 450 nits brightness and protected by 2.5D curved glass on top. The smartphone is powered by a 1.5GHz MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor coupled with Mali T860 GPU. It offers 3GB/ 4GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage and 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage, the internal storage can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.

For photography, the Meizu 6T comes equipped with a dual rear camera setup with a combination of a 13MP primary camera with Sony IMX278 RGBW sensor, f/2.2 aperture and a 2MP secondary camera with f/2.4 aperture. On the front, it has an 8MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture. The front camera also equipped with facial recognition technology to unlock the device.

The Meizu 6T is fuelled by a 3300mAh battery. Connectivity options include Dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS + GLONASS, 3.5mm audio jack, and MicroUSB 2.0 port. There is also a fingerprint scanner on the back.  It measures 152.3×73×8.4 mm and weighs 145 grams. Stay tuned with TechnoCodex for more updates.
