Microsoft has launched the Surface Hub 2S which is the company’s latest big-screen computer. This is the predecessor of the company’s first big screen computer, Microsoft Surface Hub which was launched back in June 2015. This is a huge touchscreen collaborative PC which one can hang on the wall or use it in a conference on a movable easel.

Microsoft Surface Hub 2S is mainly built for meetings rooms and for workers who work in large teams. Surface Hub 2S is announced at an event in New York. Similar to its predecessor, the Surface Hub 2S also runs on a custom version of Windows 10 OS which is specifically designed to run Universal Windows apps. It also supports Pen and touch inputs for easier functioning.

The Surface Hub 2S will be available in two display variants, one of 50-inch and other of 85-inch. However, only 50-inch variants will be available in 2019 and the 85-inch variant will be made available in 2020. The 50-inch version of Surface Hub 2S uses a PixelSense 4K+ resolution display with 3:2 aspect ratio. It features thinner bezels in comparison to its predecessor and has quite good clarity and contrast.

Furthermore, the Surface Hub 2S is powered by 8th Gen Intel Core i5 Quad-Core processor which is coupled with 8GB of RAM and has 128GB of SSD. The best thing about the Surface Hub 2S is, it is modular in nature which means, it can be easily upgraded with better hardware.

In addition to the good specifications, Surface Hub 2S comes with a couple of built-in Business-oriented apps too. It comes with Skype for Business, Microsoft Teams, Office 365 and a few more apps. Additionally, it also comes with a Surface Pen which is specially crafted for this giant Computer.

Moreover, to make it movable anywhere in a meeting room, Microsoft has tied up a furniture company called Steelcase to build a movable easel for this computer.

Meanwhile, the Surface Hub 2S is scheduled to be shipped to the market starting from June 2019 and will cost $8,999. The 85-inch version will be available anytime in the year 2020. As of now, there is no handy details regarding the 85-inch version but we may expect to get some more information on that soon.
