The Redmond-based tech giant has recently announced a new update for its Teams video-calling platform on mobile devices. This update will add an important Teams feature which has been missing from the Android app. The live transcription feature has been available on Microsoft Teams’ web and desktop apps since last year. Now, this feature is making its way through to mobile devices.

To enable or disable live transcription for a speaker, Microsoft Teams users on Android can now select the “More actions” option during an ongoing meeting. This option will be available on the Android app for both individual meetings and group video calls.
Microsoft claims that once this feature is enabled, live transcriptions will automatically start appearing in the meeting chat with specific speaker labels. Users can also visit the “Files” section of the app to access the entire transcript after the meeting has ended.
