Xbox Game Pass January 2023 Wave 1 has just been announced and it includes some exciting games from Japanese developers. In the month of January, there are 3 titles that players will be able to grab – Monster Hunter Rise, Persona 4 Golden and Persona 3 Portable.

Monster Hunter Rise

Monster Hunter Rise is the latest instalment to the critically acclaimed Monster Hunter Series. The name says it all – in this game players get the chance to hunt a vast variety of monster, spanning across brand new maps. During the hunt, players can choose between a ton of weapons that can be customized to suit their playstyle. The game needs a bit of strategy alongside help from teammates in order to take down the big baddies.

Persona 4 Golden

Players will be placed in the quiet town of Inaba in rural Japan, where they see the protagonist and his friends set foot on a journey that involves a chain of serial killers. This is a much deeper game as you get to meet kindred spirits, confront your own dark side and also interact with feelings of belonging. The game promises “meaningful bonds and experiences shared together with friends”.

Persona 3 Portable

This critically acclaimed RPG that was responsible for reinventing the Persona series has now been remastered for newer platforms. In this title, you will experience an unfamiliar stillness that has enveloped the city and it is turning people into scary coffins. Players will have to use the power of their heart and awaken their Persona in order to emerge victorious in this game.

On top of that, Mortal Shell: Enhanced Edition and Stranded Deep are available now for Cloud, Console and PC as well. Players can also grab Valheim: Mistlands Biome Update for PC too. Check out the games that will be leaving Xbox Game Pass on January 15 below:

  • Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc
  • Nobody Saves The World
  • Pupperazzi
  • The Anacrusis (Game Preview)
