MIUI 9 Global Stable ROM Starts rolling out for Redmi Note 3

Xiaomi has started rolling out the MIUI 9 Global Stable ROM for Redmi Note 3 smartphone starting from today onwards. This announcement was made by one of the Xiaomi’s Product Manager, Rohit Ghalsasi on his official Twitter handle.

He tweeted: “Redmi Note 3 users will start receiving MIUI 9 stable update starting from today, but not everyone will get the update same time. It may take 48-72 hrs for you to get the update.”

Earlier this month, Xiaomi had announced the list of 40 smartphones that will be getting the MIUI 9 update. Today company announced the update for Redmi Note 3 while Redmi 3s and Redmi 3s Prime smartphones are yet to receive the update.

To recall, Redmi Note 3 was launched in India back in October 2015. It sports a full metal body with a 5.5” full HD display. The smartphone is powered by 1.8 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 650 SoC. It offers 2GB/3GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.

For photography, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 has a 16MP primary camera with 5 element lens, f/2.0 aperture, 78-degree wide angle lens, two-tone flashlight, panorama, HDR, and manual mode features. On the front, it has a 5MP shooter with f/2.0 aperture and Beautifies modes.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is fueled by a 4050mAh non-removable battery. Connectivity options include Dual-SIM support, G connectivity, Bluetooth 4.1, dual-band WiFi, WiFi Direct, and GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, and Beidou. Sensors on board include an electronic compass, gyroscope, gravity sensor, proximity, hall, and light sensors. The Note 3 has IR blaster which will allow it to be used as a remote controller.
