New ‘Death Stranding’ Trailer Unveiled New Character And Boss Fight

A lot of games today that was releasing a trailer commonly satisfies the “whats” and “whys” of the fans, but the new trailer of the Death Stranding is a bit different. The trailer was revealed yesterday at the Tokyo Game Show, by Hideo Kojima together with his studio, Kojima Productions.

Aside from revealing some new hints, like a new character and a new boss fight, this trailer also made another mystery that a lot of fans were talking about. Death Stranding is a giant cryptic puzzle with a lot of interlocking layered mechanisms, and gamers will do their best on trying to solve it. The trailer is kind of being the game itself, full of mystery.

So there is this new character that we are talking about, it is the intriguing “The man in the golden mask”, and is obvious to be a foe. The man behind this character is Troy Baker. He is a famous voice actor known to brought a lot of game characters into life like Pagan Min in Far Cry 4, Samuel Drake in Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, The Joker in the Batman: Arkham series, Kanji Tatsumi in Persona 4, and of course Joel in The Last of Us.

Aside from that, on the said boss fight, the character in the story has also been revealed, it is the boss of Sam, a character played by Norman Reedus. On the teaser of the boss fight, the real action wasn’t revealed but we can expect it to be a good one.

Kojima also revealed some of the new art for character models based on Mads Mikkelsen, Guillermo del Toro, Tommie Earl Jenkins, Léa Seydoux, and Lindsay Wagner. He also teased the fans with his statement, “Besieged by death’s tide at every turn, Sam Bridges must brave a world utterly transformed by the Death Stranding. Carrying the stranded remnants of the future in his hands, Sam embarks on a journey to reunite the shattered world one step at a time. What is the mystery of the Death Stranding? What will Sam discover on the road ahead? A genre-defining gameplay experience holds these answers and more.”
