The One Piece anime is going to have a big year in 2023, as the anime’s Wano saga is reaching its conclusion. The show’s animator has also teased that the epic battle between Luffy and Kaido, including the highly anticipated Gear Five transformation, is coming soon.
The upcoming episode titles for the anime are out, and we can see that episodes 1047 to 1050 will focus on Momonosuke and the rebels’ fight against Kaido. Fans will be excited to see how the story will unfold. Here are the upcoming episode titles:

One Piece animator Henry Thurlow recently teased the upcoming events in the Wano arc of the anime. Thurlow, who has worked on the series since episode 1017 and also contributed to the One Piece Film: Red, said that 2023 will be the biggest year for One Piece and shared that “fans will get it all in 2023,” hinting at the highly anticipated Gear Fifth transformation of protagonist Luffy in his final showdown with the powerful Kaido. This transformation was previously featured in the film One Piece: Red, and fans have been waiting for its inclusion in the main series.
Mangaka Eichiro Oda has also promised that the One Piece manga will have great things coming for the coming year. With the success of One Piece Film: Red in 2022, it is no doubt that the series will continue to dominate 2023 as well.
