On Tuesday, Samsung has launched its new Galaxy J5 Pro smartphone which is an upgraded variant of the Galaxy J5 (2017) with more RAM and Storage. The smartphone has been launched in Thailand and is priced at THB 9,990 (Rs. 19,000/ $293 approx).
The Samsung Galaxy J5 Pro is essentially an updated variant of the Galaxy J5 (2017) which was unveiled last month, and it comes with upgraded RAM and storage, the Galaxy J5 Pro packs 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. In comparison, the Galaxy J5 (2017) comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage. Rest of the specifications of the new Galaxy J5 Pro are same as the Galaxy J5 (2017).
The Galaxy J5 Pro sports a metal body which gives it a Galaxy S7-like look. At the back, the Galaxy J5 Pro features a vertical camera module along with curved antenna bands running on the top and bottom part. On the front bottom, the Galaxy J5 Pro features a fingerprint scanner at the front embedded in the home button.
Talking about remaining specification, the Samsung Galaxy J5 Pro runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system and sports a 5.2” HD (720×1280 pixels) Super AMOLED display. The phone is powered by the 1.6GHz Exynos 7870 octa-core processor coupled with Mali T830 GPU. As mentioned earlier the handset offers 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage which is further expandable up to 256GB via micro SD card.
In terms of camera, the Galaxy J5 Pro sports a 13MP rear camera with f/1.7 aperture and LED flash. On the front, there is another 13MP front facing camera that too comes with the support of LED flash and offers f/1.9 aperture.
The smartphone is powered by a 3000mAh battery. Connectivity options of Galaxy J5 Pro include Dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, Micro USB port, and GPS. Dimensions of the smartphone are at 146.3×71.3×7.9mm.
