New York City Museums Offer Back to School Discounts

It’s been a weird year, but there’s a bright spot for students as classes resume: Free and discounted admission to New York City museums and zoos.

More than a dozen institutions across all five boroughs, like the Museum of Modern Art and the Bronx Zoo, are letting students visit for free or at a reduced rate in the next few weeks.

The Morgan Library & Museum is providing free tickets to kids 18 and under and their caregivers this Wednesday through Friday. An advance reservation is required, and can be made by emailing [email protected] with the desired date and time. The National September 11 Memorial & Museum is offering a discounted family pass for two adults and up to three children ages 7 to 17 for $82, which can be reserved on the museum’s website.

Admission to the Museum of Modern Art and the New Museum is free for everyone through Sept. 27, with advance reservations required.
