This headline slot announcement comes just after Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds released their new single, Pretty Boy, which has been taken from their upcoming album. The record’s title has not yet been revealed.

The single included music from guitarist Johnny Marr, who is a close friend of Gallagher.

Marr is also supporting Gallagher at the South Facing Festival.

Gallagher said of the new single: “For this new record, it was the first thing I wrote, the first thing I demoed, and the first thing I finished, so it’s only right that it’s the first thing people get to hear. Massive shout out to my mainest man Johnny Marr for taking it somewhere special.”

Gallagher’s group last released an album in 2017 with Who Built the Moon?

The record received middling to positive reviews, with The Independent, NME and The Guardian giving it four stars out of five.
