Nokia is seems prepping to launch a new entry-level device, the Nokia 1 Android Go smartphone, with the lighter version of the mobile OS. The smartphone was first leaked by a Russian tech journalist, Eldar Murtazin in December last month. Now, two fresh images of the Nokia 1 Android Go surfaced online revealing the key design of the device.
Unfortunately, the leaked images didn’t reveal much about the device. The first image shows the device is placed in a case while the second image shows the actual device. The device appears to be made out of polycarbonate body. There seems to be a camera sensor along with the LED flash positioned vertically at the rear and Nokia branding logo at the center of the device.
From previous leaks, the Nokia 1 Android Go will sports an HD (720 x 1280 pixels) display. However, the exact size of the screen is not known so far. The smartphone is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 212 SoC coupled with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The Nokia 1 Android Go is expected to unveil at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 in February with the price tag of Rubbles 5990 ($105/ Rs. Rs 6,550 approx)
The Nokia 1 is said to runs on Android Go based on Android Oreo. The lighter version of the OS was first announced at Google I/O 2017 for low-end devices that run with 512MB to 1GB of memory. It is specially optimized for the entry-level handsets and it includes better performance along with built-in data management features and security benefits. Smartphones those will be launched with Android Go will also be bundled with Android Go apps those will be lighter than the original applications such as Play Store, Gmail, Maps, Google, YouTube, and more.
