Nokia 2 with 5” Display And Two Days Battery Life Launched in India

HMD Global has launched the much rumored entry-level Nokia 2 Smartphone in India today. The smartphone comes with an “average global price” of EUR 99 (Rs. 7,500 approx.) while the price in India has not been announced so far. The smartphone will be made available from mid-November.

The main highlight of the Nokia 2 is its premium design made from 6000 series of aluminum body and the big 4100mAh battery which claim to give two days of life. Nokia 2 also features Google Assistant, something which the company says makes the device first of its kind in the entry-level segment. The smartphone comes in Copper Black, Pewter Black, and Pewter White color options.

Talking about specifications, the Nokia 2 runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system and promise to get Oreo update soon. Nokia 2 sports a 5” HD (720×1280 pixels) LTPS In-Cell Touch display protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top. Nokia 2 is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 SoC coupled with Adreno 304 GPU. It offers 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage.

The Nokia 2 comes equipped with an 8MP primary camera with autofocus and LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera for taking selfies and making video calls.The smartphone is fueled by a 4100mAh battery with two days battery life. Connectivity options include dual-SIM support, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio with RDS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Sensors on board include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, and proximity sensor. It measures 143.5×71.3×9.3mm, and is IP52-rated
