Nokia 5.1, Nokia 3.1 and Nokia 2.1 with Updated Specs Launched

HMD Global on Tuesday has refreshed its budget lineup by launching the Nokia 5.1, Nokia 3.1 and Nokia 2.1 smartphones at an event in Moscow, Russia. The Nokia 5.1 and Nokia 3.1 sport taller 18:9 displays and are part of the Android One programme, while the Nokia 2.1 sports the same 16:9 panel and runs on runs Android Oreo (Go edition).

Nokia 5.1 comes with the average global price tag of €189 and €219 for the 2GB and 3GB RAM variants respectively. It comes in Copper, Tempered Blue, and Black colour options and will be available to purchase few weeks after release which is set for July 2018. The Indian Price of Nokia 5.1 has been set at Rs. 12,499 for the same base variant, while the availability is still unknown.

Nokia 3.1 comes with the average global price tag of €139 and €169 for the 2GB and 3GB RAM variants respectively. It comes in Blue/ Copper, Black/ Chrome, and White/ Iron colour options and will be available to purchase starting June 2018. The Indian Price of Nokia 3.1 has been set at Rs. 9,498 for the same base variant, while the availability is still unknown.

Nokia 2.1 comes with the average global price tag of $115. It comes in Blue/ Copper, Blue/ Silver, and Grey/ Silver colour options and will be available to purchase starting July 2018. The Indian Price of Nokia 2.1 has been set at Rs. 6,999, while the availability is still unknown.

The Nokia 5.1 runs on Android Oreo operating system and sports a 5.5 full-HD+ (1080×2160 pixels) IPS LCD 18:9 display protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top. The smartphone is powered by a 2.0GHz MediaTek MT6755S octa-core processor. It offers 2GB of RAM with 16GB of internal storage and 3GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage, the internal storage can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.

For photography, the Nokia 5.1 comes with a 16MP rear camera with PDAF and an LED flash support for better lowlight capturing. On the font, it has an 8MP selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture and an 84.6-degree field-of-view.

The Nokia 5.1 is fuelled by a 3000mAh battery. Connectivity options include Dual-SIM support, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, 3.5mm headphone jack , and Micro-USB port. Sensors onboard include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gravity sensor, gyroscope, and proximity sensor. There is also a fingerprint sensor at the back. It measures 151.1×70.73×8.27mm.

It offers 2GB of RAM with 16GB of internal storage and 3GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage, the internal storage can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.

Connectivity options include Dual-SIM support, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, 3.5mm headphone jack , and Micro-USB port. Sensors onboard include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gravity sensor, gyroscope, and proximity sensor. There is also a fingerprint sensor at the back. It measures 146.25×68.65×8.7mm and weighs 138.3 grams.

The smartphone is powered by a 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 quad-core processor coupled with Adreno 308 GPU. It offers 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.

For photography, the Nokia 2.1 comes with an 8MP rear camera with autofocus, and an LED flash support for better lowlight capturing. On the font, it has a 5MP shooter for selfies and video calls
