NRL news 2023, Mitchell Moses signs new Parramatta Eels contract

Mitchell Moses will remain at the Eels until at least the end of 2028 after signing a four-year contract extension, according to The Sydney Morning Herald.

The publication reported last month that Moses was set to re-sign with the Eels on a deal worth about $1.25 million a year, despite a push from Wests Tigers to lure him back to Concord.

The one-time New South Wales Blues representative already had an option in his favour with Parramatta for 2024. He’s taken up that option and committed to another four years on top of that.

The news was delivered about three hours before the Eels’ grand final rematch against the Panthers at Sydney’s CommBank Stadium, in which Moses will be aiming to guide Parramatta to its first win of the season.

The 28-year-old has played 134 NRL games since switching from Wests Tigers to the Eels during the 2017 season.

He made his 200th NRL appearance in the Eels’ defeat to the Sharks in round two.

The pressure mounting on Moses is fierce as he tries to guide the club to its first premiership since 1986.
