NVIDIA’s cloud game streaming platform in GeForce Now receives a major upgrade, as players can now play their favorite titles on Google Chrome with a resolution of 1600p.

As mentioned in a new blog post from NVIDIA, GeForce Now RTX 3080 members can now enjoy their games on 120 FPS with a resolution of 1600p instead of the previous 1440p resolution cap.

Furthermore, with the demise of Google Stadia, it seems like NVIDIA has become the former’s premier partner for cloud gaming, with its latest Chromebooks being built for streaming games at 1600p resolution on its 120Hz+ displays. Along with that, with GeForce Now pre-installed, fans can also expect to earn a free three-month RTX 3080 membership through the Chromebook Perks program.

And it’s just not improvements in visual fidelity for GeForce Now users, as NVIDIA has also announced the addition of 11 new games. The subscription service already has 1400+ PC games, and it’s giving Xbox Cloud Gaming a run for its money.

Some of the titles joining GeForce Now include the newly released Scorn, The Darkest Tales, Rabbids: Party of Legends, PC Building Simulator 2, and the closed beta for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide.

Expect these games to take full advantage of the new visual resolution cap for RTX 3080 members, along with other titles that have already been part of GeForce Now for quite some time.
