Nvidia RTX 40 Series GPUs for Laptops, Along With GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Desktop GPU, All We Know

The announcements keep on rolling at CES 2023, with GPU maker Nvidia joining the long lineup of companies sharing new hardware at the event.

Following the introduction of the GeForce RTX 40 series Desktop GPUs with the Ada Lovelace architecture last year, Nvidia has now unveiled the GeForce RTX 40 series GPUs for laptops. These graphic cards will soon be a part of over 170 laptops models from major manufacturers across the globe.

According to Nvidia, the GeForce RTX 40 Series laptops are 3x more power efficient than its predecessors, while delivering up to 4x the performance in major AAA games like Cyberpunk 2077. Plus, these graphic cards also offer better performance for creators using applications such as Blender, Nvidia Omniverse and more.

As part of the RTX 40 series Mobile GPUs, Nvidia will be offering GeForce RTX 4080, 4070, 4060 and 4050 graphic cards. Along with that, GeForce RTX 4090 will also be available for use on gaming laptops.

The gaming laptops featuring RTX 4080 and RTX 4090 will start their pricing at $1,999, and they will be available from February 8, 2023. On the other hand, the RTX 4070, 4060 and 4050 laptops will begin their pricing at $999 with launch date set for February 22, 2023.

Nvidia unveils GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Desktop GPUs

Following much speculation, it looks like Nvidia has brought back the 12GB variant of the RTX 4080 as the RTX 4070 Ti. For some context, RTX 4080 12GB model was introduced as part of the original RTX 40 series lineup. Just weeks later the company unlaunched the variant because “having two GPUs with the 4080 designation is confusing.”

Now, the company seems to have brought back the 12GB variant of RTX 4080 GPU as the RTX 4070 Ti. The new GPU performs “up to 3X faster than the GeForce RTX 3090 Ti, at nearly half the power.” Nvidia outlined that the RTX 4070 Ti is the perfect GPU for users to play games at high refresh rate 1440p monitors.

GeForce RTX 4070 Ti price in India and availability

RTX 4070 Ti offers a great upgrading opportunity for current owners of GeForce GTX 1080 Ti or RTX 2080 GPUs with the RTX 4070 Ti. As per the numbers shared by the company, 4070 Ti performs 12x faster than GTX 1080. The new Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 Ti GPU will launch on January 5, 2023, with the prices starting at $799.
