From scientists to patient reports, information regarding new symptoms linked to Covid has been emerging. Now, parents have shared the most common symptoms they noticed in their children. None of these warning signs are among the “classic three”.

When it comes to Covid infection, the best-known symptoms are the classic three.

Listed by the NHS, new cough, fever and loss or change to taste and smell are named as the main symptoms of the virus.

However, experts and patients have been shedding light on new symptoms that appeared with the Omicron variant.

The latest survey conducted by Manchester Evening News has shared other “common” symptoms linked to the new variant.

The most common symptom of Omicron experienced by children was a headache.

The first one to warn about this new Omicron symptom was Dr Angelique Coetzee, who first raised alarm regarding the new strain.

Speaking to Sky News, she explained that this symptom also appears to be more “intense” for unvaccinated patients.

Now, parents are reporting this symptom as the main one in their children.

DON’T MISS:

This isn’t the only research backing the various symptoms of Omicron.

The ZOE COVID Study App has also been looking into the symptoms experienced by Omicron sufferers.

Their data reveals that only half of people have been struck by the classic three symptoms.

Similarly to the parent survey, Zoe’s findings suggest headache, runny nose and sore throat to be prominent.

If you suspect having any Covid symptoms, you have to self-isolate and get a test.
