On Sunil Dutt’s birth anniversary, Sanjay Dutt shares an emotional moment from Munna Bhai MBBS
Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt penned an emotional note on his late father Sunil Dutt’s birth anniversary. The veteran actor would have turned 93 today, June 6. His loss is felt by his loved ones, fans and those from the entertainment industry. Sanjay Dutt remembered his father as he shared a heartfelt tribute to him to mark the date.
Sanjay Dutt took to his social media handles to share two photos of himself and Sunil Dutt from Munna Bhai MBBS. The film that achieved a cult status saw them play a father-son duo. The pics in question are from their popular “jaadu ki jhappi” scene in the film that won many hearts.
Remembering his late father, Sanjay Dutt wrote, “Your belief and love helped make me who I am today. You were, are and will always be my hero. Happy birthday, Dad”
The post is doubly heartbreaking as Munna Bhai MBBS was the last film of Sunil Dutt. The actor had reportedly died after suffering a heart attack back in May 2005. The film saw Sanjay play the titular Munna Bhai while Sunil Dutt played HariprasadSharma. Fans will remember the emotional scenes between the two in the 2003 film.
Earlier, Sanjay Dutt had also shared a post for Sunil Dutt’s death anniversary, which falls on May 25. He wrote, “Through thick and thin, you were always there to guide and protect me. You were my strength, inspiration and support in every need… the best a son could ask for. You will always be in my heart Dad, I miss you!” as he remembered him.
On the work front, after the successful run of KGF: Chapter 2, Sanjay Dutt was recently seen in Samrat Prithviraj alongside Akshay Kumar, Manushi Chhillar and Sonu Sood. The film is currently in cinemas.
