Former England football star Peter Crouch’s wife Abbey Clancy has revealed her husband is not great at choosing gifts.
Clancy, 35, told TheMailOnline, that the former footballer, 40, gifted her the same coat thrice for Christmas. “He’s useless. He always seems to get it wrong. He bought me the same Burberry mac for like three years in a row.” When asked what the worst present she ever received, she replied: “A three-metre long phone charger from Peter as a present.
“He’s quite logical with his presents, because the plug is on his side of the bed. It’s become a running joke with my friends and family, so he bought me a charger so that I could sit in bed and charge my phone. It turned out it was a good present in the end but when I first opened it I was like ‘what is this?’ ”
Clancy explained that the past experiences have led to the couple deciding to forego gifts and buy each other experiences instead. “We’ve decided we’re going to do an experience together, instead, like a nice meal or weekend away together,” she joked.
