Insider Claims PlayStation Event Is Coming Soon

The rumour comes from Twitter user AccountNGT, who previously leaked the title and images from Quantic Dreams Star Wars Eclipse.

In a recent Q&A on the users Twitter account, NGT was asked if they had any details surrounding a PlayStation Event for early 2022. They then replied stating that “it’s coming” and that they would have “a lot of information to deliver” once the event is announced.

NGT then went on to reply to another fan saying that “Tom Henderson also confirmed to me that the PS5 event is set to take place soon”. For those unaware, Tom Henderson is a trusted industry insider with credible leaks surrounding Call of Duty, Battlefield, and more.

Of course, we always advise taking leaks and rumours with a pinch of salt until it’s made official by Sony. But, it does look like a new PlayStation State of Play Event could be right around the corner.

Considering it has been almost 3 months since the previous event, we wouldn’t be surprised if we see one towards the end of January or the beginning of February. Especially considering February and March are packed months for PlayStation exclusives, with Sifu, Horizon Forbidden West, and Gran Turismo 7 all releasing in the next few months.

Plus, fans are still patiently awaiting news on Hogwarts Legacy. The highly anticipated title was delayed from 2021, with new rumours suggesting a release date of Q3 2022, but we’re all dying to see a new trailer some time soon.
