UPDATE: The Amazon, Sony Centre, and GamesTheShop pages for PS5 are non-responsive and seem to have crashed due to unprecedented traffic. We are still waiting for an official announcement on the same from the aforementioned resellers.

Sony is back again with another PS5 drop for the Indian market. On the February 22, 2022, at 12 AM the PlayStation 5 with the disc reader and the PlayStation 5 Digital edition will be available for pre-order on select websites. The PlayStation 5 production has been scarce since the invention of the next gen gaming console, and people from all countries are still trying to get their hands on it despite it being release for quite some time now.

How to Pre-order PlayStation 5 in India?

The websites that people can check out to preorder the PlayStation 5 models are: Croma, Amazon, Flipkart, Games the Shop, Reliance Digital, Vijay Sales and Sony Center. The interested buyers can hop on to the websites of these online retailers and place their pre-orders directly from the website. The buyers will have to be quick with this process, be ready before the drop, i.e., at 12 P.M. and be patient as these websites are not always able to handle the influx of so many people on their website. Once the pre-order has been placed, the estimated delivery time is around 2 weeks, Sony can sometimes postpone the delivery date according to COVID restrictions and policies in that specific region.

Interested people can also check out their local stores, there is no guarantee whether all stores would receive any products, or the store would have an abundant number of units available, but people can still try their luck. It has been a whole year since the PlayStation 5 has been available for purchase in the Indian Market, but still the demand hasn’t been satisfied. The cause of this issue can be tracked back to the pandemic as that has been a major hurdle for many companies in the tech industry. Also, another pressing issue are the scalpers, they try to get their hands on the PS5 when it drops and then flip it for a profit, causing short supply for a lot of genuine buyers.
