Prince Charles, 73, became a grandfather back in 2013 with the birth of Prince George, now eight. The Prince of Wales is now a grandfather of five children through his sons Prince William, 39, and Prince Harry, 37. Prince William and Kate Middleton, 40, appeared alongside Prince Charles and Camilla, 74, at the annual Commonwealth Day service on Monday, March 14.

Professional lip readers have revealed the family’s conversation about their future plans.

Congregating before the service began at London’s Westminster Abbey, Charles (who stepped in for the Queen) was seen happily chatting with his daughter-in-law Kate.

Expert lip reader Jeremy Freeman told the Mirror that after hugs and kisses between the royal foursome, Charles informed Kate: “We are going to pop in and see you all.”

This visit will most likely happen when William and Kate return from their week-long Caribbean visit next week.

In the past, proud grandfather Prince Charles has reportedly voiced his unhappiness about not seeing enough of Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

In an interview to mark Charles’ 70th birthday in 2018, his son William explained: “I would like him to have more time with the children… to play around.

“When he’s there, he’s brilliant, but we need him there as much as possible.”

Charles has two other grandchildren, Archie, two, and nine-month-old Lilibet, through his son Prince Harry.

Being a grandparent is rewarding for Charles, whose life was largely consumed by royal duties when his sons were growing up.

“It’s a different part of your life,” he said in 2013, according to The Telegraph.

“The great thing is to encourage grandchildren. Show them things to take their interest.

“My grandmother did that, she was wonderful. It is very important to create a bond when they are very young.”

When Louis, his third royal grandchild, was born in 2018, Charles said: “It is a great joy to have another grandchild, the only trouble is I don’t know how I am going to keep up with them.”
