The second Sword Art Online film in the Progressive series titled Scherzo of Deep Night is releasing in Indian cinemas. PVR Pictures announced on Saturday that the film will release in the country on February 10, 2023.

The science fiction action adventure film released in Japan in October 2022. It is based on the Sword Art Online: Progressive light novels by Reki Kawahara. This film is a sequel to Sword Art Online Progressive: Aria of a Starless Night, which also released in India in February 2022. So if you haven’t watched the first film, you are out of luck as the film isn’t available for streaming on any platform in India (the main series, however, is streaming on Netflix).
Sword Art Online Progressive: Scherzo of Deep Night is produced by A-1 Pictures, and the first film’s staff and cast reprise their roles in this film. The film was originally supposed to release in Japan in September but was postponed due to COVID-19.
