BJP general secretary Tarun Chugh said the party has given representation to all sections of society, with BJP’s candidates for the Punjab polls including doctors, lawyers, sportspersons, farmers, youth, women, and a former IAS.
The candidates include former minister Manoranjan Kalia, Rana Gurmeet Singh Sodhi, a sitting MLA who quit the Congress to join the party recently, Arvind Khanna and Kanwarveer Singh Tohra, the grandson of late Akali stalwart Gurcharan Singh Tohra.

The BJP will be contesting the assembly elections for the 117 seats in Punjab in alliance with Amarinder Singh-led Punjab Lok Congress and Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa-led Shiromani Akali Dal (Sanyukt).
Assembly polls will be held in the state on February 20..
