Ranbir Kapoor talks about his labour room experience with wife Alia Bhatt during Raha’s birth

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt who got married in April 2022, are proud parents to their adorable daughter Raha Kapoor in November 2022. Recently, In a talk show with his cousin Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranbir spoke about Raha, Alia and his fatherhood experiences so far.

In a talk show, when Ranbir was asked to rate himself between one to seven for being the father he is, he gave himself the perfect seven. In a conversation with the interviewer, he was also asked about his experience in the labour room and his first impression of holding his daughter to which he replied and said that he got the opportunity to hold Raha, the moment she was born after her umbilical cord was cut and that moment will be etched in the core memory of his life. It was a magical moment for him to witness her and Alia together for the first time when Alia held her close to her neck and chest.

He also revealed that he spent a week with Alia in the hospital. “I was very good in the labour room. I had taken a sabbatical from work two to three months prior to her delivery and stayed in the hospital for a week.”

Reacting to this, Kareena said that he is a lovely husband, and Saif wouldn’t stay one night with her in the hospital. In response, Ranbir laughed, “I don’t think Alia would say that but I consider myself a good husband.”

He shared his reaction to Alia’s pregnancy and said that it was delightful. “There was no other emotion except for excitement,” he added. Talking about their experience with parenthood, Ranbir said that they have a good amount of help, yet still for the first two months at least they had a lot of sleepless nights. Stating the reason, he said, “ when you have the excitement of your first child and she is sleeping between us in bed, you’re alert even with just a little bit of movement.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Ranbir was last seen in Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar alongside Shraddha Kapoor. He also has Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal in the pipeline, co-starring Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol.
