Redmi K50i receives BIS certification, expected to launch in India soon

Xiaomi is tipped to launch new Redmi branded smartphones in India. Last month it was reported that the company is planning to launch the Redmi Note 11T Pro and the Redmi Note 11T Pro+ smartphones in India as Redmi K50i and Redmi K50i Pro. Now the Redmi K50i was spotted on the BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) certification website which hints towards the India launch of the smartphone.
According to tipster Mukul Sharma, the Indian variant of Redmi Note 11T Pro — the Redmi K50i has recently received BIS certification. The BIS listing reveals the model number of the upcoming smartphone. This means that Xiaomi is said to launch the smartphone in India soon.
Recently, tipster Kacper Skrzypek also revealed that Xiaomi may soon launch the Redmi Note 11T Pro and the Redmi Note 11T Pro+ smartphones in India as Redmi K50i and Redmi K50i Pro. The company is said to launch the smartphones with the same set of specifications.

Redmi Note 11T Pro and Redmi Note 11T Pro+ sport 6.6-inch FHD+ display with 1080×246 pixel resolution. The displays of both smartphones offer variable refresh rate and come with Dolby Vision support.
The duo is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chipset paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB internal storage. The smartphones run Android 12 operating system topped with the company’s own layer of MIUI 13.
The dual SIM smartphones feature a triple rear camera which comprises 64MP main sensor, 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro camera. On the front, both smartphones sport a 16MP selfie camera.
Redmi Note 11T Pro and Note 11T Pro+ come with an IP53 rating which makes the smartphones splash-resistant. The Redmi Note 11T Pro is backed by a 4400mAh battery with 67W fast charging support, while the Redmi Note 11T Pro+ is backed by a 5080mAh battery with 120W fast charging support.
