Riot Introduces New 3 Site Map called Lotus Set in India in Ep 6 Act 1; Omen Nerfed in Latest Patch
Valorant has just entered its sixth episode and has brought a bunch of new content for the players to try out. The most notable change in the latest episode is the introduction of the ninth map in the game, Lotus. A new map has been introduced in the game after 6 months, the previous new map was Pearl, that was unveiled all the way back in June 2022.

Valorant have already introduced a Agent from India, now the time has come for them to unveil a location from the same region too. Lotus is based off the Western Ghats of Omega Earth’s India. The location and its design has been inspired from traditional Indian stepwells, rock-cut architecture and Dravidian style structures.
What’s more is that Lotus is also a 3-site map like Haven, it also comes with some new environmental mechanics such as rotating doors and walls that can be destroyed as they travel through the map. On top of that, Valorant Episode 6 Act 1: Revelation, also brings a brand new Battlepass and ARAXYS Skyline.

On the topic of Lotus, a report from Dotesports states that the idea behind the map was completely different from what it became. Level Designer, Joe Lansford has stated that his original vision was of a space station with an airlock mechanic that could close off the bigger areas of that map. In the end the idea was not thought to be as fun, therefore they moved to Lotus.
Lastly a tweet by popular esports reporter, George Geddes states Omen has been nerfed in the latest patch. His tweet stated, “dark cover placed inside walls will now fall to the height of nearby ground”. He added that one-way smokes are a part of Valorant, but they can be tasking to play against, therefore they wish to keep them limited to intentional, so no more one-ways.
