It was the first time in the Spaniard’s career that he came back from two sets down in a Grand Slam final, and the first time he did so in a match since Wimbledon 2007.

By picking up his second Aussie Open crown, 13 years after the first, Nadal officially became the most decorated man at Grand Slam level in history, beating out his rivals to a record 21st Major title.

And one man who has spent much of his career competing against the Big Three has now admitted he believes the win has made Nadal the greatest player of all time, snubbing Federer and Djokovic.

Former top ten player Richard Gasquet has faced Nadal 17 times, losing all their battles, and holds a losing head-to-heads against Djokovic and Federer, winning one of 14 meetings against the Serb and 2 of 21 against the Swiss.
