ROH World Tag Team Champion Jay Briscoe dead at 38

The wrestling world is mourning the death of ROH World Tag Team Champion, Jay Briscoe, one half of the Briscoe brothers, who has died aged 38.

AEW and Ring of Honor President Tony Khan took to Twitter on to announce that ROH Hall of Famer Jay Briscoe has passed away.

Khan tweeted: “Sadly, Jamin Pugh has passed away. Known to fans as Jay Briscoe, he was a star in ROH for over 20 years, from the first show until today. Jay and his brother Mark dominated ROH, reigning as champions to this day. We’ll do whatever we can to support his family. Rest In Peace Jamin”

Details regarding the wrestler’s death have not been made public.

Briscoe, along with his brother, Mark Briscoe, was one half of the popular Briscoe Brothers tag team.

He and Mark were 13-time Ring of Honor tag team champions.
