Ruth Langsford, 62, took to social media yesterday to compliment her husband Eamonn Holmes, 62, on the outfit he wore to present his GB News show. The broadcaster had picked out a green suit to mark St Patrick’s Day, which also happened to be Ruth’s birthday.
Eamonn revealed the reason behind his colourful outfit in a post shared on his Instagram account.
However, there was no mention of his wife’s birthday across any of his social media.
Sharing a clip from Breakfast with Eamonn and Isabel to her Instagram Story, Ruth wrote: “LOVED the green suit @eamonnholmes.”
She also made reference to the theme of Eamonn’s suit by adding a sticker that read: “Happy St Patrick’s Day.”

He captioned the post: “Could u guess from the Colour of my suit that it’s St Patrick’s Day ?” (sic)
He too received a barrage of comments from fans wishing him a happy St Patrick’s Day as fans praised his outfit.
Some online users also wished his wife a happy birthday as they acknowledged the double celebration.
