Indian badminton star Saina Nehwal, in a Twitter post recently, shared her opinion regarding the security breach of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to Punjab on January 5.
PM Modi`s convoy was halted on the flyover in Bathinda, Punjab for almost 20 minutes following a roadblock due to farmers protesting. Nehwal shared a post on Twitter and wrote, “No nation can claim itself to be safe if the security of its own PM gets compromised. I condemn, in the strongest words possible, the cowardly attack on PM Modi by anarchists.”

South actor Siddharth retweeted Saina Nehwal`s post and wrote, “Subtle c**k champion of the world… Thank God we have protectors of India. Folded hands. Shame on you Rihanna.”
However, Siddharth`s post led to him facing a backlash and being trolled online by Twitterati. Moreover, Saina Nehwal`s husband Parupalli Kashyap went on to Twitter to reply to Siddharth`s comment. Kashyap wrote, “This is upsetting for us … express ur opinion but choose better words man. I guess u thought it was cool to say it this way. #notcool #disgraceful.”

Saina Nehwal too, went on to take a stand and respond to Siddharth`s tweet. Nehwal wrote, Ya I’m not sure what he meant. I used to like him as an actor but this was not nice. He can express himself with better words but I guess it’s Twitter n u remain noticed with such words n comments.”
Siddharth also went on to clarify his statement and said that he did not mean to be disrespectful. Siddharth wrote, “”COCK & BULL”. That`s the reference. Reading otherwise is unfair and leading! Nothing disrespectful was intended, said or insinuated. Period.”
