Samsung announces ‘made-in-India’ smart refrigerators’ range, price starts at Rs 1,13,000

Samsung has announced its 2023 range of premium side-by-side refrigerators in India. The new lineup of refrigerators are completely manufactured in India and brings several India-specific features. Apart from that, the new refrigerators are also IoT-enabled and offer features like customisable storage, new exterior design and added convenience through Connected Living.
Samsung 2023 refrigerators: Price
Samsung has announced the refrigerators starting at Rs 1,13,000. The new lineup of refrigerators will be available starting today across both offline and online retail stores in 653-litre net capacity in four BESPOKE glass finished — Glam Deep Charcoal, Clean While, Clean Navy and Clean Pink.
Samsung 2023 refrigerators: Features
For starters, all the newly announced models will be Wi-Fi enabled and will be compatible with the SmartThings app allowing users to control their refrigerator via their smartphone. They come equipped with convertible 5-in-1 mode to allow users to customise storage, Samsung’s Twin Cooling Plus technology for precise cooling and Curd Maestro. The refrigerators now also allow users to detach the curd compartment to optimise the storage based on their needs.
Samsung has also added four Bespoke edition colours to make the refrigerators more attractive. Apart from that, the company has also included FamilyHub 7.0 to offer a connected home experience.
To offer a connected living experience, these refrigerators come with Family Hub 7.0 which lets them control their smart devices via SmartThings app. It also offers unlimited entertainment, recipe suggestions on the basis of what’s stored in the fridge, reminders for food expiry, and so on.
The new line-up’s AI Energy Saving Mode works on Wi-Fi-based machine learning that optimises the fridge and freezer temperatures to enable up to 10% energy savings.
As an industry first, Auto Open Door with its ‘touch sensor’ opens the door with a gentle touch. Thus, in case of dirty hands, one can simply keep their hand on the door sensor and the door will open.
The new range also has the recently announced industry-first 20-year warranty on Digital Inverter Motor compressor.
