Samsung brings advanced technology privacy and security managed with its updated Security and Privacy Dashboard

With One UI 5, Samsung updated its Security and Privacy Dashboard on Galaxy to make it easier for its users to view and manage how their data gets shared with apps and services on Samsung Galaxy smartphones. The company says that the new updated Dashboard allows users to not only view all the permissions and data that are being shared but also manage them by allowing or withdrawing accesses easily.
When it comes to protecting personal information, keeping tabs on app permissions is one of the simplest ways to ensure your data is not unknowingly being shared. Here are four important permissions that help users reclaim their data sharing with just a few quick clicks on their Galaxy devices:
Managing ads: For people who love to shop online and looking to prevent targeted advertisements, the updated Security and Privacy Dashboard allows users to manage that. All they need to do is head to the dashboard → Privacy tab → Ads menu and choose the Delete AD ID option.
Take control of microphone and camera permissions: Galaxy users can also choose to enable or disable microphone and camera permissions for specific apps.
Manage location-based services: One of the most abused permission is location access. However, the Privacy and Security Dashboard lets users manage that easily. The dashboard allows users to manually control location access for apps and also allows them to see what apps have tracked their location in the past 24 hours.
Manage app preferences: Many apps are downloaded for specific occasions and then left installed and unused for long periods of time. These apps might continue tracking their data and activity months after installing them, whether or not they are in use. To prevent apps from accessing more data than necessary, Galaxy devices will proactively protect users’ privacy by removing permissions from apps that haven’t been used in a while.
