Samsung on Thursday has launched Galaxy C8 for the Chinese market, the latest addition to its mid-range smartphone series, the main highlight of the smartphone is dual rare camera setup, it is the third device from Samsung featuring dual camera setup after Note 8 and J7+. The device will be available in Black, Gold and Rose Gold color options. Pricing and availability are yet to be confirmed by the company.
The new Samsung Galaxy C8 features all metal uni-body design with round edges and two antenna lines visible on the top and bottom of the smartphone, at the back there is the vertical dual camera setup and an LED flesh beneath it. The home is embedded with finger print scanner, it also support facial recognition but not Iris scanning.
Coming on specifications, the Samsung Galaxy C8 runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system and sports 5.5” Full HD (1920×1080) Super AMOLED display with the aspect ratio of 16:9. The smartphone is powered by a 2.4 GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P20 SoC and offers tow RAM and Storage variants, one with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage, and another one come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.
Talking about camera, the Samsung Galaxy C8 sports dual rare camera setup which include a 13MP sensor with an f/1.7 aperture along with a 5MP sensor with an f/1.9 aperture accompanied by a dual tone dual-LED flash. Camera feature allows you to capture a photo and adjust the focus where you want. On the front, there is a 16MP selfie camera with an f/1.9 aperture and LED flash support for the taking better selfies.
The smartphone is fueled by a 3000mAh non removable battery with MediaTek’s Express 3.0 fast charging technology. Connectivity options include dual-SIM support, 4G LTE, GPS, and Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac , A-GPS, GLONASS , and USB Type-C port. Sensonrs on board include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, and proximity sensor. It also comes loaded with Bixby, Samsung’s artificial intelligence (AI) assistant. However, unlike the Galaxy S8 lineup and Galaxy Note 8, it doesn’t equipped with a physical Bixby key for activating Samsung’s digital companion. The device measures 152.4 x 74.7 x 7.9 mm and 180g.
