Samsung is gearing up to launch the successor of its entry-level Galaxy J2 (2017) smartphone which launched in India back in October this year. The leaked images of the Galaxy J2 (2018) with model number SM-J250 surface online. The entire specifications of the smartphone along with its images leaked by a German publication site winfuture.
From the leaked images, the device doesn’t look much different from this year’s J2, the front panel of the smartphone comes with traditions screen of 16:9 aspect ratio. The physical home button is placed on the bottom of the device along with capacitive buttons to either sides of the device. The volume rockers are on the left edge while the power button situated on the right edge of the device.
Talking about specifications, the Samsung Galaxy J2 (2018) runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system and sports a 5” Super AMOLED qHD (540 x 960 pixels) display. The smartphone will be powered by 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC. It offers 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which can be further expanded via microSD card.
For photography, the Samsung Galaxy J2 (2018) will sports an 8MP rear camera along with a 5MP front-facing camera, both the cameras are equipped with LED flash support for better lowlight capturing.
The Samsung Galaxy J2 (2018) is fueled by a 2,600 mAh battery. Connectivity options include Dual-SIM support, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11n, 3.5mm audio jack, and micro-USB port. The phone will weigh 153 grams,
The website claims that It will be available in Russia and other emerging markets in the coming weeks with the price tag of under 8,000 Rubles ($136 /Rs. 8,756 approx). It is expected to come in Black and Gold option as shown in the images above.
