Samsung Galaxy J2 (2018) has been leaked earlier on a German publication site and later was found listed on a Russian e-commerce site. Now, we have spotted the Samsung Galaxy J2 (2018) listed on official Samsung website in Russia. The formal listing interestingly shows a jelly case cover that has been designed for the Galaxy J2 (2018).
The official listing doesn’t reveal any specification of the upcoming Galaxy J2 (2018) that has a model number of SM-AJ520. However, the mobile accessories page reveals that the handset will be measuring 74.4 x 146.3 x 10.3 mm and it will be weighing 173 grams. Furthermore, the listing suggests that the phone will sport the same design language as Galaxy J2 (2017). It will feature an oval-shaped home button on the front along with capacitive keys. Both front and rear cameras could come with LED flash. And is expected to use a Micro-USB port for charging and a 3.5mm audio jack will be placed at the top.
Samsung Russia has listed the case for the Galaxy J2 (2018) in multiple colours, including Black, Blue Coral, Gold, and Pink. These all can be expected to be the colour options for the handset as well.
From the previous leak, the Samsung Galaxy J2 (2018) runs on Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system and sports a 5” Super AMOLED qHD (540 x 960 pixels) display. The smartphone will be powered by 1.4GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC. It offers 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which can be further expanded via microSD card.
For photography, the Samsung Galaxy J2 (2018) will sports an 8MP rear camera along with a 5MP front-facing camera, both the cameras are equipped with LED flash support for better lowlight capturing.
The Samsung Galaxy J2 (2018) is fueled by a 2,600 mAh battery. Connectivity options include Dual-SIM support, Bluetooth 4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11n, 3.5mm audio jack, and micro-USB port. The phone will weigh 153 grams.
Samsung is yet to announce the launch date for the Galaxy J2 2018; it could be showcased at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.
