Samsung on this weekend has silently launched a new smartphone called J7 Nxt at Rs. 11,490. J7 Nxt is the most affordable ‘J’ series smartphone to feature Super AMOLED display. The smartphone is already available to purchase via the company’s official website and through offline retail stores.
Talking about design, the textured back panel gives a nice grip to hold on to the device.The power button is on the right edge of the smartphone, while the volume rocker is placed on the left side of the device. A physical home button along with two capacitive navigation buttons are placed beneath the display. The smartpone is available in Black and Gold colour options.
As for specification, the Galaxy J7 Nxt runs on Android 7.0 Nougat operating system and sports 5.5” HD Super AMOLED (720×1280 pixels) display. The smartphone is powered by a 1.6GHz Exynos octa-core processor and offers 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage which can be further expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.
On the camera front, the Samsung J7 Nxt offers a decent 13MP camera with f/1.9 aperture, autofocus and LED flash. On the front, it sports a 5MP camera along with LED flash. The smartphone has the capability of recording 1080p videos at 30fps.
Connectivity options of Galaxy J7 Nxt include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, GLONASS, among other things. Sensors include accelerometer and proximity. Notably there is no NFC support given in the smartphone. It is backed by a 3,000mAh removable battery that should give at least a day long battery life. The smartphone measures 152.4×78.6×7.6, and weighs 170 grams.
