Samsung and Disney come together to launch the special ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ Galaxy S8 edition in China, as of now The special edition smartphone has been launched exclusively in China where it will retail for 5,988 Yuan (Rs. 56,487 approx) via JD.com.
The new Samsung Galaxy S8 comes with bonus content from ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead men tell no tale’ the retail package has been designed to look like treasure box from the movie having gold-hued skull pirate logo engraved. There is also an especially design phone’s ring holder and a removable case within the box, plus it comes with special themes and wallpapers.
The rest of the internal hardware, such as screen size, RAM, storage, camera and battery capacity, remains the same as in the original model.
Although there is no official word on whether Samsung has any plans of launching the new Galaxy S8 variant in other markets, it is expected that the company may release the device in Europe and the US.
This isn’t the first time Samsung is launching a special edition of its flagship device. The South Korean company has released a few limited edition smartphones in the past, like the Batman Edition of the Galaxy S7 Edge which came with a deep black hued body with gold accents around speakers, home button, and camera module. It also housed the iconic Batman insignia on the back and Batman’s hand armour-inspired pitch black hard-case cover. And the Iron Man Limited Edition which came with a package containing limited edition memorabilia such as matching wireless charger, identical to the power source (Arc Reactor) we see on the chest of the armour suited Avenger.
