Samsung has launched a new special edition Galaxy Z Flip 4 in collaboration with Parisian fashion house Maison Margiela. The Galaxy Z Flip 4 Maison Margiela Edition comes with a solid matte white exterior with translucent lines that uncover the core structure of the phone. The sides of the phone are matte silver to compliment the white colorway.
Samsung says the special edition Galaxy Z Flip 4 also offers a new user experience with exclusive wallpapers and redesigned icons that you won’t find on regular Galaxy Z Flip 4 units.
“The paintbrush artwork was designed with an advanced 3D modeling technique to capture the texture of a rough brush stroke.” Samsung writes in its blog post.
One of the wallpapers is an upside-down phone that captures the scanning motion of an X-ray to unveil the internals of the phone.
There are two phone cases that come with the special edition. The first is a hand-painted leather cover with a canvas-like texture that Samsung says “could change over time.” The second is a ring cover that features Maison Margiela’s emblematic numeric coding ring.
If you fancy the new Galaxy Z Flip 4 Maison Margiela Edition, you can pick it up in select markets, including China (Hong Kong), France, and Korea, starting from December 1, 2022. The company hasn’t revealed the price of the phone just yet.
Unfortunately, if you’re in the US, you’ll either have to import the device from the aforementioned countries or wait to see if Samsung launches the device in the North American market sometime in the future.
