Samsung on Thursday has announced the launch of the new Notebook 9 Pen and three upgraded variants of the Notebook 9 (2018) The devices will be available in select countries starting in December 2017 in Korea, and in the first quarter of 2018 in the U.S
Samsung Notebook 9 PenThe Notebook 9 Pen is the company’s latest 2-in-1 PC that sports an all-metal magnesium aluminium chassis. There is a 360-degree hinge that allows its users to conveniently use it as a laptop as well as a tablet. It measures 310.5 x 206.6 x 14.5-16.5mm and its weight is 995 grams. The laptop also comes with S Pen 2-in-1, is battery-free and built into the device for immediate use. It can recognize 4096 levels of pressure and comes with a tip of 0.7mm thickness and convenient tilt detection to allow a more natural writing and drawing experience.
As for specifications, the Notebook 9 Pen 2-in-1 has a 13-inch (930QAA) Full-HD (1920×1080 pixels) RealViewTouch display with 450nits maximum brightness. The device is powered by an 8th generation Intel Core i7 processor along with Intel HD Graphics. It offers up to 16GB of DDR4 RAM and up to 512GB of NVMe PCIe SSD storage option.
The Notebook 9 Pen is fueled by a 39Wh battery with a 45W DC-in adapter. It features the backlit keyboard, precision touchpad, and 720p IR front-facing Windows Hello front camera. Connectivity options include an HDMI port, a single USB Type-C port, and a regular USB port, alongside microSD storage.
Samsung Notebook 9 (2018)
The Samsung Notebook 9 (2018) comes in two screen sizes of 13.3 inches and 15 inches. The device comes with slim bezels and it made of the same Metal 12 alloy for durability. Both the variants support Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display. The Samsung Notebook 9 (2018) is powered by the 8th generation of Intel Core i7 processor along with Intel HD Graphics, The 15-inch Notebook 9 (2018) comes in another variant that features 2GB GDDR5 NVIDIA GeForce MX150 graphics. It offers up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of NVMe PCIe SSD storage.
The Samsung Notebook 9 is fueled by a 75Wh Hexacell battery with a 65W DC-in adapter. It is the “largest and most powerful battery placed inside a notebook.” It also features 720p HD front-facing camera and is fitted with the fingerprint scanner for security, backlit keyboard, and precision touchpad. Connectivity options include two USB 3.0 ports, a HDMI port, microSD storage, and a single USB Type-C port. All the versions come with Titan Silver and Crush White colour options.
