Legendary actor Sunil Dutt passed away after suffering from a heart attack at his Mumbai home on May 25, 2005. His loss is felt by his loved ones and fans alike as the late actor left behind a filmography of iconic roles. Today, on his 17th death anniversary, Sanjay Dutt left a heartfelt note on social media in his father’s remembrance.


Sanjay Dutt took to Instagram to share an old photo of himself along with Sunil Dutt. The actor also penned an emotional note as he reflected on their sweet bond. He wrote, “Through thick and thin, you were always there to guide and protect me. You were my strength, inspiration and support in every need… the best a son could ask for. You will always be in my heart Dad, I miss you!”

Sunil Dutt appeared in several iconic films including Mother India, Milan, and Padoson and he also shared screen space with Sanjay Dutt in Munna Bhai M.B.B.S. Not long ago, Sanjay Dutt also remembered his mother Nargis on her 41st death anniversary. He had written, “Not a single moment goes by when I don’t remember you. Ma, you were the basis of my life and the strength of my soul.”

Sanjay Dutt was last seen in Yash starrer KGF: Chapter 2. The film which saw him play the antagonist Adheera broke box office records. He will soon appear in Prithviraj, a sprawling period drama starring Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chhillar. He is also attached to star in Shamshera alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Vaani Kapoor.
