Sharmaji Namkeen director shares an incident from Rishi Kapoor’s last scene in the film

It’s been two years since legendary actor Rishi Kapoor left us for his heavenly abode. Fans miss his charismatic presence on screen. However, they still have something to look forward to. Rishi Kapoor’s last film Sharmaji Namkeen helmed by Hitesh Bhatia is all set for an OTT release on March 31.

Reminiscing the time when they were shooting for Rishi Kapoor’s last scene in the film, the director opines how the veteran actor wanted only close-up shots for it. Speaking to a leading daily, he shared, “The light was going badly. So, he asked the DOP to make the close-up happen no matter what. And eventually, we did the shot, not knowing it would become the last shot of his life.”

Rishi Kapoor passed away while the filming was still ongoing. Paresh Rawal very generously accepted the challenge to complete the film. Recently the trailer of the film was also shared which left fans in tears. The film will also see Juhi Chawla, Satish Kaushik, and Suhail Nayyar in key roles.
