Singer KK’s last rites performed amongst friends and family

Everyone was shocked and devastated by KK’s untimely death. On May 31, he passed away in Kolkata after performing at a live concert. He became ill after the concert and collapsed when he arrived at his hotel. His mortal remains were brought to Mumbai yesterday, and his cremation took place today. Many celebrities have been arriving at his home since the morning to pay their respects, and now the latest photos of the late singer’s son Nakul performing the last rites have arrived.

Several celebrities from the industry have been paying their respects to the late singer since the morning. Singers Hariharan, Javed Ali, Alka Yagnik, Rekha Bhardwaj, and other celebrities such as Vishal Bhardwaj, Kabir Khan, Himansh Kohli, and others paid their last respects.

The popular singer’s mortal remains were transferred from SSKM hospital to Rabindra Sadan in Kolkata yesterday. Jyoti, KK’s wife, and their children also paid their respects. On Wednesday, a gun salute was accorded in honour of the late singer at Rabindra Sadan in Kolkata. Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Minister of Bengal, was also seen paying her respects to KK.

According to his postmortem reports, KK died as a result of cardiac arrest. A senior government official said, “The initial report suggested that the singer died because of myocardial infarction. There was no foul play behind his death. Clinical examination also found that the singer was having prolonged cardiac issues.” He also mentioned that the final report would be available in 72 hours.

KK began his career singing jingles for many popular commercials in the 1990s. He made his musical debut in 1999 with the popular album Pal. Besides Hindi, he’d also sung songs in languages such as Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi, and Kannada.
