After the launch of its first product ‘OpenAlert’, Mumbai-based brand Baybot has announced its next product for homes and workspaces called ‘MotionAlert’ which is a wireless motion sensor designed to detect movements accurately and send instant notifications to your smartphone.
The Baybot MotionAlert smart wireless motion sensor will be available for Rs 1,849 on Baybot.in and Flipkart.com, with a 12-month warranty period.
Baybot MotionAlert: How to use the device, detection range and features
Baybot’s MotionAlert is a Wi-Fi-enabled motion sensor that runs off just two AAA cells and connects to your home or office Wi-Fi. Users can mount it to the ceiling or wall with the bundled 2-way adhesive or wall-mounting accessory. They can then pair the MotionAlert to their cloud account and “instantly start receiving” alerts on their smartphones the moment there is any activity detected in the room or area, claims the brand.
According to the company, the MotionAlert device can be installed in every area that needs to be monitored for movement, or automated with movement. The sensor is designed to alert you the moment it senses activity in the area it is installed.
As per Baybot, the MotionAlert sensor can sense movement in a 5-meter radius/distance from it. The best installation places are the ceiling and walls, but avoid using them in corners. Once set up, users can monitor the security status from their smartphone directly. When it detects motion, it will instantly send an alert to the user’s smartphone.
Users can also assign MotionAlert to work along with some of their smart devices at home or office. The device can be used to trigger doors locks, room lights, stairway lights, turn on the spotlights at the entrance or gate, ring a chime the moment you have a customer at the shop, etc. The device can also be integrated into a smart environment using Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, or IFTTT said the company.
