Snap announces Spectacles 3 with Dual HD Cameras

0

The third generation of the Snap’s Spectacles launched officially today by Snap inc. The new generation spectacles from Snap is featuring dual HD cameras instead of a singular one. What makes this edition of Specs unique is it can capture 3D images.

If you closely see the images, you can see two individual cameras on either side. These cameras are placed on the front side to capture both, images and videos in 3D. The captured videos and images can be quickly transferred to the Snapchat app on your device. You can get 3D effects on the captured images and videos just by tilting your phone.

Alternatively, you can also use a bundled 3D Viewer, this 3D viewer is much like Google’s Cardboard that holds your smartphone and does work for you. It offers a seamless viewing experience for the captured images and videos with 3D effects.

Image resolution captured by the built-in camera is 1642×1642 and video resolution is 1216×1216. You can view them on the Snapchat app through Portrait or Landscape mode. The perspective of the captured contents will be the same no matter in which direction you hold your smartphone.

Apart from this, the company had adopted a brand-new design of the third generation Spectacles. The new Squared Off frame with circular lenses look like classic specs. The Specs come in two different color options i.e. Mineral and Carbon. The frame is made from high-grade steel materials.

Furthermore, the new Spectacles offer 4GB built-in storage memory where you can store your images and videos in full HD resolution. The default storage memory can store up to 1200 photos or 100 videos.

If we talk about the battery, it can be charged fully in 70 minutes of charging and with a single charge, a user can capture up to 200 photos and can record up to 70 videos. It also comes with a carrying case and you can recharge it with the carrying case by using a USB-C Charging connector.

Once you are done with capturing photos and videos, you can transfer them to your device with Bluetooth or Wi-Fi connection. The automatic transfer option is still not implemented. Many of the previous Specs users were expecting to have an automatic transfer feature on this generation, but unfortunately, there’s no such feature available.

The new Spectacles 3 costs #380. The Pre-orders for the third-generation specs is now open and will be launched in this fall.
