Spider-Man Is Swinging Into Battlegrounds Mobile India With the Upcoming Update

Popular mobile Battle Royale title, Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) will bring the iconic Marvel character, Spider-Man, to the game as part of the title’s upcoming update 1.8.

South Korea-based developers Krafton first teased the character’s arrival last month around the release of the blockbuster Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movie, Spider-Man: No Way Home.

However, since then the developers have remained quite mum about the collaboration as the movie broke box-office records around the world on the way to earn over a $1 billion.

The movie included a brilliant storyline and some great fan-service by featuring some of Spidey’s iconic villains, such as Green Goblin, Electro, and Doctor Octopus played by Willem Dafoe, Jamie Foxx, and Alfred Molina, respectively. Moreover, it also provided a fitting end to the high school trilogy of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man in the MCU as well.

The movie released around a month ago, and it’s still running well in theaters with a lot of packed crowds. So even though the BGMI x Spider-Man collaboration will arrive over a month after the movie’s release, it will still garner a lot of hype from fans of the character.

As of right now, the community has little to no details about how the collaboration will play out. However, it seems like fans will be able to earn Spider-Man themed items by completing in-game missions and challenges.

Fans are excited to see what exclusive items will be added to the game with Update 1.8, which is slated to arrive sometime later this month. As part of the Spider-Man collaboration with Sony Pictures, fans can expect to see a ton of cool items like skins and many more.

This isn’t the first Spider-Man was added to the Battle Royale genre. Last year, with the release of Chapter 3 Season 1, Fortnite introduced everyone’s friendly neighborhood superhero to the popular title along with a mythic web-shooter that allowed players to swing around the island like Peter Parker.

Additionally, the game also introduced Spider-Man: No Way Home character MJ, who was played by none other than Zendaya. The game also added a themed POI in the office of the Daily Bugle, which is the tabloid newspaper run by J. Jonah Jameson.

It will be interesting to see how the BGMI collaboration will stack up to Fortnite’s, and fans can’t wait to see what Krafton has in store for them.
