The next iPhone lineup is just a few weeks away from a big unveiling. Bloomberg reports that Apple may introduce the iPhone 14 series on September 7. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the pre-orders are expected to begin on September 9, with deliveries scheduled to start from September 16.
iPhone 14 series may go on sale starting September 16
As per Gurman’s report, Apple has briefed some of its retail employees to “prepare for a major new product release on September 16,” which could be none other than the big iPhone 14 reveal.
No in-person September event for third year in a row
Similar to the last few years, this year’s iPhone 14 series reveal is expected to be a virtual event, and Bloomberg earlier suggested that the recordings for the same had begun a couple of weeks ago.
The iPhone 14 series is rumoured to consist of four models – iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The standard non-Pro iPhones are expected to be a minor refresh this year. However, iPhone 14 Pro models are set to have some big upgrades with a new pill-shaped hole-punch cutout display, A16 Bionic and an upgraded camera system.
Three new Apple Watches may also debut alongside the new iPhones
The report further suggests that Apple is also expected to launch the Apple Watch Series 8 at the same event. We can also expect the Apple Watch SE and the much-rumoured rugged Apple Watch to appear during the event.
