The Lord of the Rings trilogy is always considered one of the greatest fantasy movies of all time, but it’s a shame that we have never had a worthy video game adaptation of it.

Recently, Enfant Terrible shared a new video on their YouTube channel, showcasing an Unreal Engine 5-based imagination of a video game adaptation based on The Lord of the Rings movie trilogy. The real looks stunningly beautiful, making us wish it was a real project.

Unfortunately, this is only a brief demo with no playable sections, which means you cannot download the project or modify its base to make it a playable game. However, it could be a great source of inspiration for the big studios with triple-A budgets to try diving into the unique world of J.R.R. Tolkien, and craft something extraordinary.

Now that The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power series is only a month away from its release on Amazon Prime, the hype for The Lord of the Rings franchise has reached its peak once again. While some fans prefer to re-watch Peter Jackson’s trilogy, some others try to find a better way to connect to this incredible universe.

While there have been a number of video game adaptations from The Lord of the Ring franchise in the past, none of them has been great enough to leave a mark in the gaming industry. Currently, the studio of Deadalic Entertainment is working on The Lord of the Rings Gollum as a brand new story-driven game based on this massive universe, but unfortunately, it doesn’t have an official release date yet.

Currently, the biggest fantasy game up ahead is Hogwarts Legacy from Avalanche Studios, which is supposed to be launched later this year, representing the incredible world of Harry Potter based on J.K. Rowling’s novels.
