Triumph India has introduced its latest motorcycle, the Speed T4, priced at ₹2.17 lakh. This new model is the most affordable Triumph bike available in India, marking a significant entry into the budget-friendly segment for the brand. The Speed T4 is positioned as a successor to the Speed 400. It has also Introduced the 2024 edition of the Speed 400.

Triumph Speed T4: Design and Features

The Speed T4 will be offered in three colors: white, red, and black. Its design primarily features new color schemes, with most of its parts borrowed from the Speed 400. The chassis remains unchanged, but the new model comes with conventional telescopic forks at the front, replacing the previous upside-down forks. It rides on 17-inch wheels equipped with non-radial tyres.

Triumph Speed T4: Engine and Performance

The Speed 400 T4 features significant changes in its engine and hardware. Under the hood, the Speed T4 is powered by a 399cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. This motor delivers 30.6bhp at 7000rpm and 36Nm at 5000rpm. Triumph asserts that 85 percent of the torque is available at 2500rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox for improved performance.

The Speed T4 features an all-LED display and an analogue-digital interface with Bluetooth connectivity. Triumph has begun accepting bookings for the Speed T4 on its official website, with deliveries expected to start shortly.

The T4 includes features such as a slipper clutch, dual-channel ABS, USB charging port, and a digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity. It uses a 43mm telescopic front fork for suspension, unlike the USD units in the Speed 400. It comes in three colors: Pearl Metallic White, Cocktail Wine Red, and Phantom Black.

In addition, the 2024 Speed 400 has received updates. The new model includes high-profile radial tires, adjustable brake and clutch levers, and a more comfortable seat with thicker cushioning. The 398 cc engine remains the same, delivering 40 horsepower and 37.5 Nm of torque. The updated Speed 400 is priced at Rs 2.40 lakh, an increase of Rs 15,000.


Triumph has sold over 60,000 units of the Speed 400 and Scrambler globally since last year. Bookings for both new models have started, and deliveries are expected soon.
