Apple is constantly making new moves for their upcoming iPhones, as it was learned earlier, Apple is already going for an 8GB RAM memory for the iPhone 14 Pro. Now Apple is making new moves to improve 5G capabilities in their upcoming flagship models. According to a report by 9to5Mac, it has been understood that TSMC will be undertaking the responsibility to provide all the 5G chips for the production of the iPhone 14 Pro.

Apple has had a long competitive and collaborative history with Samsung, where they compete to release the best smartphone in the market, but also behind the scenes, Samsung is also known for providing chipsets to Apple. With this new information, it can be understood that Apple will be dropping all Samsung Chips for their upcoming flagship models and will be going forwards with TSMC chips. At first it was believed that TSMC was providing a small percentage of chips, but now it has been confirmed that its will be taking up the whole order for the iPhone 14 Pro.

This new move by Apple has taken place to increase the battery conservation in their upcoming models as the usage of 5G networks can result in heavy battery consumption. A 6nm TSMC chip will be used, this was previously unveiled during the TSMC Forum in 2021. Along with great battery conservation benefits, this new chip will also amplify the performance over 5G and Wi-Fi for the iPhone 14.
